SUSTAINABILITY

WATER

Water management on board is one of Untamed Amazon’s operational pillars, supported by guest safety and a consistent commitment to low-impact operations in remote environments.

The vessel operates with its own independent water treatment system, designed to ensure reliability and consistency in isolated conditions.

The system is composed of multiple stages:

• Sediment filtration, responsible for removing solid particles
• Microfiltration, designed to retain fine impurities
• Bacteriological filtration, focused on eliminating microorganisms
• Reverse osmosis, ensuring high levels of purity and stability
• Additional polishing and system-safety stages

This process guarantees a continuous supply of potable water throughout the operation, with a production capacity of up to 1,500 liters per hour and total storage of 6,400 liters.

Water quality is regularly monitored by a certified laboratory in Manaus, with periodic analyses validating potability standards. The corresponding certificate remains available on board in the social area.

All water used on the vessel passes through this system, including:

• Drinking water
• Kitchen water
• Faucets
• Showers

As an extension of this model, a dedicated hydration program was implemented in partnership with YETI, providing high-performance insulated bottles for onboard use.

Guests may choose the shared-use system, with daily cleaning and redistribution, or purchase their own bottle at the onboard boutique.

The result is consistency throughout the experience, eliminating dependence on bottled water and significantly reducing the environmental impact of the operation.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Untamed Amazon operates with a hybrid system, prioritizing solar energy and using generators only when necessary.

During the day, the 60 solar panels power the system and charge the battery bank. At night, the stored energy supports the operation silently.

• From 4 pm to 11 pm: generators provide support for higher demand and recharging
• From 11 pm to 5 am: battery-powered operation, with no noise or vibration

This model significantly reduces diesel consumption and sound impact while keeping all vessel systems, including climate control, lighting, kitchen, common areas, and suites, operating steadily.

Well-managed energy, without interfering with the experience.

SAFETY

• AIS system, transponder
• Radar, sonar, and GPS
• Radio and satellite phone communication
• Garmin communication equipment
• Life jackets, fire extinguishers, and first-aid kit

CREW

Aboard Untamed Amazon, the crew is an essential part of the experience, not only in the execution of the operation, but also in the way the territory is presented.

There are 14 professionals on board, including:

• Captain
• Specialized guides
