The Untamed Amazon is powered by solar electricity and has state-of-the-art water treatment, fuel-efficient engines that comply with strict US and international environmental standards. A true feat of green engineering to guarantee that our ecological footprint is kept to a minimum.
Solar energy
We are pioneers in the Amazon in the use of solar energy to supply the boat's electrical network, replacing diesel generation. The system of solar panels, lithium batteries and inverters is the most advanced in photovoltaic generation technology. The reduction in carbon dioxide emissions is equivalent to planting one tree a day.
Water treatment
The river water is treated by three filtration processes (including reverse osmosis) plus three purification processes (chlorination, UV light and ozone) and distributed pure and potable in the boat.
The sewage is treated in biodigesters and transforms the residual water that after chlorination returns cleanly to the river.
