Day 1
At 8 a.m., you leave Santarém. Forty minutes later, Alter do Chão appears — quietly, without announcement. The river is already present before you even board. At the CAT dock, Untamed Amazon awaits. The boarding is simple. A welcome drink, a few introductions, and the boat departs. The first stop needs no adjustment: Muretá Beach. White sand, clear water, the Tapajós at its most natural. You step into the river without thinking — the temperature, the transparency, everything invites you in. Lunch is served on board, already underway. In the afternoon, a canoe takes you into the Jamaraquá region. The channels narrow, the sounds shift, the light drops. The sunset doesn't happen — it dissolves. Day 2

After breakfast, the journey itself takes center stage. The Canal do Jari calls for a different kind of attention — more closeness, less speed. You visit Dona Dulce's project, where Victoria amazonica becomes material, object, gesture. On Dona Rosângela's trail, the way you look changes again. Sloths do not reveal themselves easily. You learn to search with patience. Then comes the meeting of the waters. The Tapajós runs clear. The Amazon arrives dense. They flow side by side — two distinct systems, in no hurry to merge. Lunch is served on board. In the afternoon, Urucureá. Tucumã fibers, techniques passed down without formal explanation. You observe. You participate. You understand the local rhythm. At the end of the day, the boat anchors at Ponta do Icuxi. Overnight.
Day 4
The Arapiuns changes the feeling of space. The water opens up. The light takes on a different quality. In São Marcos, you enter a farinha house. The process is not a demonstration — it simply happens. Each stage has its own time, its own gesture, its own logic. You follow along. Back on board for lunch. In the afternoon, another pause on the river. Crystal-clear water, a visible riverbed, comfortable silence. At the end of the day, an igarapé. The canoe enters slowly. First come the sounds. Then the shapes. You realize that listening matters more than looking. At night, the beach. Piracaia. Fire, fish, sand. Nothing excessive. Nothing staged. A carimbó performance closes the day. Overnight in the Caracaraí region.
Day 5
The morning begins underway. The boat heads back toward Alter do Chão, without breaking the rhythm built over the preceding days. Before arriving, one last stop: Ponta do Cururu. Clear water, an open bank, silence enough to close. You enter the river one more time. Or you simply watch and say goodbye. No rush. The farewell lunch is served on board. Disembarkation takes place directly at the CAT dock at 12:30 p.m., with transfer to Santarém airport.
