Opera Festival: The Largest Lyric Event in Latin America

From April 15 to May 18, 2025, the stages of Teatro Amazonas and the Palácio da Justiça Cultural Center will host the 26th edition of the Opera Festival. Established in 1997, this is the largest event of its kind in Latin America and a grand celebration of the art form. Over the course of the festival, audiences can enjoy three operas, three concerts, and two recitals.

The festival is a cultural and educational legacy of the Amazonas region, and has brought to Brazilian stages operas never before performed in the country, such as Lulu by Alban Berg and Magdalena by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Another notable milestone was the first Brazilian production of Richard Wagner’s full Ring Cycle.

An unmissable opportunity to experience world-class performances in the majestic Teatro Amazonas — one of Manaus’s most iconic historic landmarks.
