Bosque da Ciência: Educational Tourism in the Heart of Manaus

A true living museum, the Bosque da Ciência is located in the central region of Manaus and offers a unique experience for those looking to learn more about the Amazon in a fun and educational way. Here, visitors are invited to connect closely with nature and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental preservation.

The site features a variety of attractions for all ages, making it an ideal outing for families. Highlights include walking trails, interactive exhibits, quiet areas for relaxation, and aquariums — with the Amazonian manatee as a standout. Visitors may also encounter animals roaming freely through the area, such as monkeys, agoutis, sloths, iguanas, birds, and a wide array of insects.

Admission is free. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
