Everything You Need to Know About the Parintins Festival 2025

The vibrant rivalry between the bois-bumbás Caprichoso and Garantido promises once again to dazzle audiences with a spectacle of color, music, and deep-rooted tradition. The 2025 edition of the Parintins Festival takes place on June 27, 28, and 29 at the iconic Bumbódromo arena.

This year, Boi Caprichoso presents the theme “It’s Time for a Revival,” a powerful tribute to popular culture and its connection to life on Earth. Incorporating the ancestral roots of ethnicities from around the world — from Indigenous to African — the blue-and-black bull aims to portray the tension between progress and the fragile future of our planet.

Meanwhile, Boi Garantido returns to the arena with its iconic slogan from 1980: “Boi of the People, Boi of the Masses.” With this theme, the red-and-white bull promises an emotional, innovative, and energetic performance that reinforces its deep connection with its loyal fan base.

The festival atmosphere extends well beyond the final weekend of June, with rehearsals and final technical run-throughs taking place two weeks earlier at the currais Zeca Xibelão and Lindolfo Monteverde — the official homes of Caprichoso and Garantido. Other highlights include the Boi Bumbá Museum, which tells the story of the festival, and the Municipal Market, where visitors can discover local Amazonian products.

While in Parintins, travelers can also explore the region’s natural beauty with boat tours along the Amazon River and around the island, enjoying the stunning biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest.
